Big changes are coming to the Rickenbacker Causeway! Key Biscayne residents and stakeholders are encouraged to get involved and learn more about the solicitation of a Request For Proposal (RFP) for road, bridge, park, bicycle and pedestrian safety, and coastal resiliency improvements and replacements for Rickenbacker Causeway and Venetian Causeway.
Miami-Dade County wants your input! The County is hosting a virtual meeting to hear from the community and feedback will be incorporated into the RFP. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 4 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE here.
This is an opportunity to learn more about Miami-Dade County's plans to design, build, operate, finance, and maintain Rickenbacker Causeway while participating in a robust community engagement process.
Please note that there will be opportunities for public comments; public comments will be limited to two minutes.
The Aug. 4 meeting will be structured in 2 parts: the first part will be dedicated to the Rickenbacker Causeway and the second part will be dedicated to the Venetian Causeway.
