Tropic Topics, a new springtime initiative offered by the Key Biscayne Community Center and Active Seniors on the Key, is a weekly series of informal presentations and lively discussions hosted by island residents. Frank Caplan, attorney, former Mayor and current Vice Mayor of Key Biscayne reflects on everything from Plato and Aristotle to Locke and Montesquieu to Franklin, Jefferson and Madison, tying Age of Enlightenment thinking to our form of government and linking philosophy, history and pragmatism to stimulate discussion on some of the bedrock questions of today. Refreshments will be served. Think green and bring your own cup!
