Tri-Miami Triathlon #1 at Crandon Park

Get ready for an exciting day of endurance racing as the Tri-Miami Triathlon #1 returns to Crandon Park on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Athletes will compete in swimming, cycling, and running events throughout the park and along portions of the Rickenbacker Causeway.

• Participants: 300+ athletes and attendees

⏰ Activity Schedule

• 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  Cycling course operations and roadway traffic modifications on the Rickenbacker Causeway
• 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  Running, swimming, finish line activities, and awards ceremony inside Crandon Park

🚧 Traffic Impacts & Roadway Changes

Motorists should expect temporary traffic adjustments during the cycling portion of the race:

• Cyclists will travel westbound from Crandon Park toward Hobie Island before returning eastbound back to the park.
• Vehicle traffic will be shifted into a counter-flow traffic pattern on the south side of the Causeway during the race.
• The following areas will be temporarily closed:
  • Hobie Island north-side beach access parking lot
  • William Powell Bridge turnaround lane

Traffic control and safety operations will be managed by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and local police personnel.
