Park to host attendees from Miami Lighthouse for the Blind at its new touch pools with special VIP touch tour Miami Seaquarium, Miami Lighthouse for the Blind Senior Group, GMCVB representatives, Junkanoo and Miami Seaquarium costume characters. Miami Seaquarium official ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the highly anticipated transformation of their new front entrance. The major renovation features touch pools, an expanded retail shop and a new flamingo exhibit located at the “Main Street” section of the park. Miami Lighthouse for the Blind seniors will be welcomed for a hands-on experience at the touch pools followed by a VIP tour at 10:20 a.m., which media is welcome to attend. Guests are invited to get a first look at the brand-new entrance’s mid-century modern design while enjoying the celebratory experience alongside the Junkanoo, Miami Seaquarium costume characters and executives from the GMCVB. Founded in 1931, Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s mission is to provide vision rehabilitation, eye health services and education that promote independence, to collaborate with and train professionals, and to conduct research in related fields.
