Every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Weather Permitting)
Participants will be journeying with a ranger through one of Florida’s breathtaking ecosystems while searching for and learning interesting facts about our parks wildlife and plants. The hike starts at 10:00AM and will last approximately an hour, is .6 miles long and starts at the Trailhead at the Area C Back parking lot.
All ages are welcome and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Sturdy shoes, long pants, sunscreen, insect repellant and drinking water are recommended. Close focusing binoculars are optional. The trail will consist of slightly uneven terrain. Roots, rocks, low branches, and soft sand are abundant on the trail. Also, note a short portion of the trail is at a higher elevation. Degree of difficulty is Easy Special accommodations are available upon request prior to the event.
