About Dr. Olivia N. Mechanic
Dr. Olivia N. Mechanic is a non-invasive cardiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. A Miami native, Dr. Mechanic earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She was a clinical fellow in medicine at Harvard Medical School, and completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She also completed her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Beth Israel’s cardiovascular disease training program. Dr. Mechanic’s areas of clinical interest include women’s cardiovascular health, cardiac disease in pregnancy, cardiac problems related to cancer therapies, and echocardiography, including transthoracic and transesophageal echo. She has been published on the topics of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation, left ventricular dysfunction and congestive heart failure, and echocardiography. Dr. Mechanic is fluent in English and Spanish.
