PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY ON OCTOBER 26
HCA Florida Mercy Hospital will host a "Crush the Crisis" prescription drug take back event on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, to promote the safe disposal of unused medications.
The event coincides with the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and offers a safe, anonymous way for the community to dispose of expired or leftover medications.
Miami Police and the Florida National Guard Counter-drug Program will assist in collecting various medications (excluding needles or syringes).
This initiative addresses prescription drug misuse, a significant issue in Florida.
