The daylong derby invites fisherman to volunteer to catch lionfish and bring them back to Miami Seaquarium for scoring\, data collection\, and a community picnic. Cash prizes will be granted to the winners placing in the following categories: Most\, largest and smallest. During the Derby\, the lionfish will be cooked by community chiefs. While contestants are out fishing\, Miami Seaquarium will host a community picnic filled with South Florida marine science and conservation vendors and workshops\, including Lionfish jewelry making\, music\, and food.
