DESCRIPTION:Summer Shorts Festival Hosted by Rhonda Sanchez\n\nIf you can't beat 'em\, mock 'em.\n\nJune 26 29\, 2025\n\n \n\nPresented by City Theatre in collaboration with Villain Theater.\n\n \n\nThis year's Summer Shorts Festival Hosted by Rhonda Sanchez delivers 20 bold\, hilarious\, and thought-provoking ten-minute plays across four unforgettable\n\nperformances. Each show features a different mix of five short works\, read live by a rotating cast\, with live music and one unforgettable host: Rhonda Sanchez. Rhonda\, a fictional character created for the festival\, is our rhinestoned\, sharp-tongued response to the moment and a patriotic parody-in-residence who delivers satire with a wink and a side-eye.\n\n \n\nAudiences can join us for a single evening ($25) or experience the full arc of the festival with a four-show pass ($80). Each night features a unique lineup of five short plays so\n\nwhether you come once or come for all\, you won't see the same show twice. A limited number of VIP tickets ($40) are available each night\, which include up-front cabaret-\n\nstyle seating and Rhonda's signature cocktail\, "Red\, White\, and Boozy."\n\n \n\nProceeds from the festival support City Theatre's Defunded Not Defeated fund\, ensuring that short-form theatre and the artists behind it continue to thrive in the face\n\nof rising costs and reduced public support.
