DESCRIPTION:Join the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation for the 13th Annual Rotary Key Biscayne Wine & Food Fest.\n\n\n\nA variety of food delicacies prepared by several prominent South Florida restaurants are in the price of admission.\n\n\n\n In this year's showdown\, four judges will be tasting through the finest wines produced in the world. This will not be new vs. old   this will be every wine for itself! The ultimate variety of wines from both the new and the old world will compete   24 wines\, four judges\, two winners.\n\n\n\nThe evening will begin with a tasty Prosecco upon arrival to "season the palate" for the wonderful wines to follow. More than 30 wines will be offered including the wines participating in the competition.\n\n\n\nThe wines will consist of the following varietals:\n\n\n\nWHITES\n\nDry Rose\, Sauvignon Blanc\, Chardonnay\, Dry Riesling\, Pinot Grigio\n\n\n\nREDS\n\nCabernet Sauvignon\, Merlot\, Malbec\, Cab Franc\, Zinfandel\, Syrah\, Sangiovese\, Pinot Noir\n\n\n\nShari Gherman\, president of the American Fine Wine Competition & Gala\, is the Fest's wine director again this year and four noted wine professionals will be judging these exciting wines: Patrick Sullivan\, Wine Educator and professional Wine Judge\; Wendy Rosano\, Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine\; Roberto Colombi\, Sommelier and GM of The Blue in the Boca Raton Resort\, and Delius Shirley\, owner of Ortanique on the Mile in Coral Gables and professional Wine Judge\, will complete the professional Judging panel.\n\n\n\nAll presented wines have been graciously supplied by Strategic Importers and will be available for sale at the event through Wine Date\, our official wine retailer. Wine Date will coordinate all orders\, payment\, delivery and pick-up\, and will donate 10 percent of sale proceeds to the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation. A variety of food delicacies prepared by several prominent South Florida restaurants are included in the price of admission.\n\n\n\nThis year\, Rotary is excited to announce that The Nobis Foundation\, a Miami nonprofit organization\, will be added to the list the Rotary's beneficiaries. Although The Nobis Foundation's operations are Miami-focused\, the foundation also makes strategic philanthropic co-investments in indigent rural communities in Ecuador alongside Fundaci n Nobis\, which is headquartered in Ecuador. This year's co-investment will focus on expanding educational opportunities for rural communities outside of Guayaquil and will also involve a partnership with the Rotary Club of Guayaquil in Ecuador.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, Rotary's collaboration continues with The Arc of South Florida. The Arc of South Florida's members will organize a silent auction and receive part of the proceeds to fund its programming. Auction lots will consist of items\, including travel\, restaurant vouchers\, sports memorabilia\, and select goods and services. Rather than each organization holding an independent fundraising event\, The Nobis Foundation and The Arc of South Florida work together with the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation to offer attendees a wonderful evening and an opportunity to support charitable efforts in our community.\n\n\n\nThe Rotary will also continue its collaboration with Fundacion Manos Del Sur\, a Miami-based non-profit providing assistance to disadvantaged children in Latin America in the areas of education\, health and nutrition.\n\n\n\nThe proceeds from this event qualify for multiple matching grants.
