SUMMARY:Rickenbacker Causeway Coastal Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:On the third Saturday of every month 9:00am-11:00am volunteers can assist the Causeway staff beautify this coastal park and keep our ocean ecosystem healthy. Gloves and trash bags will be provided\, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable gloves to reduce waste.  \n\n\n\nThis opportunity is made possible with the support of EAST Miami Hotel. The EAST Miami Hotel is committed to contributing to the communities in which they operate and responsibly managing their environmental impacts and social commitments. EAST Miami's Climate Ribbon canopy represents a shared commitment to building sustainability\, reducing waste\, emissions and protecting natural water resources.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities and Duties: \n\n	Removing microplastics and trash along the Virginia Key South (across from MAST Academy) shoreline \n	Additional tasks as needed \n	Qualifications: Youth under 15 must have a parent/guardian present. \n\n\n\nCommitment Expected:\n\nPlease arrive at your scheduled start time and check-in with EAST Miami Hotel staff. Please bring a refillable water bottle\, closed-toed shoes\, and protection from the sun (sunscreen\, hats\, sunglasses). If you have your own gloves\, we recommend bringing them. Community service hours letters will be emailed\, by request\, following the event.
