DESCRIPTION:28th Annual Jorge Portela Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser\n\nBring your friends and neighbors to the KB Beach Club and help raise money for the Jorge Portela Memorial Scholarship Fund.\n\nJoin us in helping to raise money for the Jorge Portela Memorial Scholarship Fund. Pre-sale ticket price of $60 includes live band\, open bar\, and buffet dinner featuring the catch of the day! Ages 11-17 are $30 and children 10 and under are free.\n\nPre-sale ends June 12th. Limited tickets will be available at the door for $70.\n\nIf purchasing both ticket types at once\, click Continue Shopping on the next page to add another ticket type.\n\nThe 28th Annual Jorge Portela Memorial Give-or-Take An Inch\, Half-Ass Fishing & Diving Tournament is on June 14\, 2025. Registration for this event closes on June 13\, 2025\, and our Captain's meeting will be held on June 12\, 2025. Our tournament originated in 1994 from a friendly bet amongst Jorge's friends as to who could catch more fish: the anglers or the divers? Unfortunately\, in 1997 our good friend Jorge lost his battle against cancer. At that time\, the name was officially changed to the Jorge Portela Memorial\, Give or take an inch\, Half Ass Fishing and Dive tournament.\n\nOver the years\, some of the rules have changed\, the number of participants has increased\, the boats have become more beautiful\, and the top prize has changed\, but the spirit of the tournament has not! This tournament is to honor Jorge for his commitment to family and friends and for his enthusiasm for life\, good fishing as well as a good party!\n\nThis year's tournament marks the 28th year of Jorge's passing.
